A new office construction project for the Sumitomo Corporation Group, which upholds “a global organization that constantly stays a step ahead in dealing with change, creates new value, and contributes broadly to society” as its corporate philosophy. We proposed a new office plan that accommodates diverse work styles and work locations in response to changes in the Vietnamese economy and social conditions. From the planning stage, we held in-depth discussions with local employees and incorporated many of their opinions into the project. We aimed to create an innovative, comfortable, and adaptable work environment by creating internal communication spaces, flexible use spaces, and providing a high level of remote connectivity. The cafeteria area was designed to be a multi-purpose space for meetings and other purposes. After the move to the new office, there was a clear change in employee communication, which contributed to strengthening horizontal connections within the company.
